catching northern pike and lake trout is during the first two weeks of May.
The water is very cold then and the lake trout are on the surface and easy to catch. At this
time the northern pike are most active and because they are
aggressively feeding in shallow bays.

If you and your spouse would like a short all inclusive get away we offer
something you may be interest in. You will depart White River, Ontario
at 9:00 am (3.5hrs north of Sault Ste Marie) and arrive at the lodge after
taking a 2 hr train ride
through the Canadian wilderness. You will stay for 2.5 days of fishing,
sight seeing, relaxing and exploring before boarding the train at 4:00pm for
the return trip to White River. Children under five can join you for no
extra charge. This is a great gift idea. Call for more details
